Meet Samantha

Samantha takes a systemic approach to therapy that centers on insight and connection. In her therapy room, she focuses on the 'hard parts' of existence-- loneliness, isolation, grief, sorrow, confusion, feelings of futility, etc-- to help guide clients from a place of confusion and distress toward deeper awareness and self-understanding. Samantha believes that we often get caught in the cyclical nature of our problems and struggle to find a way out.

Samantha employs a solutions-focused, meaning-centered lens in her therapy room to these cycles and offers alternatives to break their maladaptive patterns. Samantha has experience with residential care for Mood/Anxiety Disorders and Eating Disorders, as well as intensive outpatient programs for Substance Use Disorders.

While she specializes in marital/relational issues as a part of Marriage and Family Therapy, her clinical interests also include working with women's issues, grief, eating disorders/body image, trauma/PTSD, and life transitions. She is completing her Marriage and Family Therapy degree at Northwestern University, where she continues to feed her deep love of learning.
